Johns Creek Luxury Homes and the Chattahoochee

The short answer

Johns Creek is its own city, incorporated in 2006 east of Alpharetta, bounded on its southeast side by the Chattahoochee River and its national recreation area. Its west side uses Alpharetta mailing ZIP codes, so many Johns Creek homes are listed as Alpharetta. Luxury here means country-club and river-adjacent subdivisions, taxed by Johns Creek, Fulton County and Fulton County Schools.

Johns Creek was incorporated in 2006 on the east side of the Alpharetta address area. Its southeast edge is the Chattahoochee River; the Jones Bridge unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is inside the city.

Club communities define much of its luxury market: Atlanta Athletic Club, founded in 1898 and in Johns Creek since the late 1960s, and the gated Country Club of the South with its Jack Nicklaus course. West-side Johns Creek homes use Alpharetta ZIP codes.
