The first question for any listing: which jurisdiction?

A listing that says “Alpharetta, GA” is giving you the post office’s name for the area. The house may sit inside the City of Alpharetta, inside the cities of Milton or Johns Creek, or outside any city in Forsyth County. Our guide to which jurisdiction an Alpharetta address is in shows how to confirm it in a minute with the county’s own map.
